Alexandra Shipp has been a well-known actress over the years. Her birthplace was in Phoenix Arizona, USA on July 16, 1991. In 2012, she played an important role in Victoria Justice's guest on Victorious. Her acting debut came in 2009 with a small role in Alvin and the Chipmunks - The Squeakquel. Then she was KT who was the main character of Nickelodeon's teen thriller series House of Anubis' third season. In 2014 Shipp received attention due to her roles as Dani Raymond in the VH1 television film sequel Drumline: A New Beat as well as Aaliyah Haughton the title role in the Lifetime TV movie Aaliyah The Princess of R&B. Shipp sang the track in her final role. Then she portrayed Ice Cube's wife Kimberly Woodruff in the biographical documentary Straight Outta Compton which chronicled the careers of hip hop group N.W.A. In 2016, she was a co-star in Bryan Singer's comic book film X-Men: Apocalypse as Ororo Munroe/Storm a weather-controlling mutant previously portrayed in the film by Halle Berry. The film featured Nick Robinson, Jorge Lendeborg Jr. as well as Lucy Hale as Dude in 2018. She also starred alongside Nick Robinson in Love Simon. James is her older brother. She portrayed Danielle Dani Ray's role on Drumline the film New Beat, the TV film from the year 2014.
